LollyKnitting Around has come up with Project Spectrum, a celebration of the colors around us, most obviously in knitting and other textiles, but also in crafts, food, and the different facets of our everyday lives. Each month, from March through August, will focus on a different color.
I suspect that this project, like the Knitting Olympics and Grace's Poppies' poetry blogging, will become much bigger than their originators ever suspected. Already, my imagination is humming with colors.
Hello...I was noticing the large number of Jeanne's in the Knitting Olympics, too. Who would have guessed? Do people call you Gee-anne, too? Or think your name is Joanne, with a typo?

What a pleasure to find your blog(and someone who knows what a bluestocking is.) I was just googling "Golden Hands," since I'm doing a lace stole for the Knitting Olympics and am very fond of the Golden Hands Shetland Shawl but too lazy to figure out how to adapt the [mitred]wide lace border to the rectangular stole I have in mind. Nevertheless, I'm using the initial lace border, was at the computer and googled "Golden Hands lace" and found you. If there were an award for handsomest banner (and best ongoing tribute to EK) you would certainly win. I look forward to ambling through your archives -- like savoring a particularly good chocolate. -- Susan Ramsey (rams)
