I love the Pearl Buck swing jacket - it's so beautiful. I've been mulling over whether to do it or not, but I'm a little intimidated by all the piecing. I'm a pretty good knitter, only an average finisher. But I love that it combines two of my favorite things: knitting & literature! (The Good Earth is one of my all time favorites)

So last night I got a strange e-mail from the PBSJ. Something tells me I'm meant to knit this sweater. Can I still join the knit-along? I won't be starting for a few weeks though, still finishing my Olympic Hourglass sweater. I know - pathetic.

Jeanne, it looks great! I thought you chose the elderberry...my computer is showing the color much more purpley. I can't believe you're on 2s and 3s - oh my!

I'm nervous now :).

This project is on my "I want to knit it now!" list right now. I love it, and have ever since I saw it in the magazine. I found your site when i went googling for blogs with photos of it!

I knit loose also, but I can't imagine knitting a whole sweater on 2s and 3s! I'll take your advice though and definitely swatch, swatch, swatch!

Christine

I couldn't take it. I bought the yarn to do a gauge swatch. Is it too late to join the KAL?
