Knitting for later use is the best idea. I always get in the mood when I need them and by the time they're finished the season is almost over. You've inspired me!

What pretty tweedy yarn! I'm looking forward to seeing the mittend!

oops, mittens...not mittened...

I love your Almanac project. I must admit I have never even picked up the book so I am enjoying your excepts.
Mittens in May is a great idea...if I could just force myself to knit off-season.

Oh. my - that's beautiful yarn! Also looking forward to seeing the completed mittens :-)

The yarn you chose will make beautiful mittens; I especially like the color. My blanket, too, is unfinished but I have six squares completed. Since it is May I've started the Norwegian Mittens. They're in green and white Falk. The thumb directions are especially sketchy as written by EZ. Fortunately the photo is clear and I think I determined the thumb design with the aid of magnifying glass. I'm looking forward to seeing your mittens and am pleased we're using different patterns.
