And I forgot to mention that this Booking Through Thursday entry is here -- http://bookingthroughthursday.blogspot.com/2007/03/lending-library.html

I chuckle through your answers to BTT ;) I love the "Lion's Share of Books" comments...hey that great answers!

Happy BTT and I hope you have great day!

I love the catalog card generator! I rather miss card catalogs. Computer searches are terrific for speed but there's something about browsing and flipping through the little drawer full of cards...

That card is so cool! I am off to learn how to do that.

I like the idea of putting a sticky in the book to remind the borrower whose book it is.

If I ever end up with reading friends who live nearby, I may use that idea.

I'm so happy I just found your blog. How long did you live in Hongkong? I'm going there in 2 weeks and love your pix of t he stores there.

Hi. I just wanted to stop by and thank you for your indepth yarn store in HK Directory. I found it very very helpful, as I've gotten into the yarn craze lately, and there isn't a likeable yarn store near me... I occassionally go into Hong Kong, and with your handy dandy guide, I find that my time here in China is much more tolerable. although i think emma woolen might be closed... i went to the telford plaza, and could only find GB Woolen. But don't quote me on that cuz I'd get lost in my own backyard. I came upon your blog by googling HK yarn stores, fyi. Incase you were wondering!!

I think borrowing a book is like having a house guest (but without having to be polite all the time, pretending the men of the house don't fart and we are always into gracious living etc etc), in other words you get the best bits of the relationship and they always leave / get returned just at the right time without all the extra laundry and cooking

glad to see you are back - i hadn't looked in for awhile, respecting your blog break. looks like you have had a lot of fun projects going this winter and some fine knitting.

I usually use book plates in my books so there can be no doubt where it needs to be returned to.
