I didn't see Tales from the Valley but I did watch Tudor Monastery Farm in which Ruth explained about the changing of underwear. It does make sense, people who are described as having 'body odour' really have dirty clothing odour. I like Ruth a great deal, she has an inquiring mind and is a self taught historian. I also like her interaction with the other historians with whom she works on the television programmes.
