Your double handled vessel is a Bouillon cup ideal for a pick-me-up between meals.

Pretty mittens, I have put the pattern in my Ravelry library to attempt at a later date. I have pretty yarn for sock making now:

I won't scold on the clear soup cup. We had some of these, left from when my great aunts were maids in wealthy homes. They got leftovers from sets that were broken.
