We spent an afternoon this weekend with a local symphony orchestra, who did a children's concert and afterwards sponsored an "instrument petting zoo," in which kids (of all ages) could touch and play the musical instruments. It was a lot of fun -- the girls tried I think everything that was there, strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion.
I think we may have a budding violinist in the family -- Laura went back at least six times to try the violins! I myself was particularly taken with the French horn.
