> My Adventures in the House of Miniatures

Here are the pieces of miniature furniture I have made from House of Miniatures kits. These kits were available to miniaturists and doll-house enthusiasts for about twenty years from the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s as a subscription -- you signed up, and every month you got that month's kit. The collection was begun in 1976 partly to celebrate the US Bicentennial, and all of the pieces reflect the classical period of American furniture -- Hepplewhite, Chippendale, Queen Anne, Duncan Phyfe -- although a later series featured Victorian styles. These are fun kits, and make very nice pieces of miniature furniture for a comparatively inexpensive price. Some are easier than others, of course, but as a whole it is very satisfying to put them together and then display them in a room setting!
