« Back to Knitting with D.E. Stevenson
"Mrs. Tim" is certainly one of the books most indelibly associated with D.E. Stevenson, for it is not only based in part on her diary as an officer's wife but sparkles with her own gentle wit and personality. This "Amy" cardigan and the "Faith" one -- which I couldn't decide between -- both seem very "Mrs. Tim" to me -- sensible, not too frivolous or youthful but still not at all dowdy (the frivolity would come with the hat, no doubt!), practical yet appealing. They are both from "Patons Specialty Knitting Book No.33" by Patons Australia, available free from Subversive Femme -- https://www.flickr.com/photos/9595084@N02/sets/72157627228421146/with/6054355545/
