Three "Antique" Samplers
On the left, "Southern Heritage" sampler chart by Annelle Ferguson, at top right, "Boston Band" sampler chart by Nancy Sturgeon, and at bottom, "Heritage XIX" sampler chart by Annelle Ferguson.
The "Southern Heritage" kit was from the NAME National Houseparty in 2000. I switched out the lower-case alphabet in the chart and substituted a motto and "signature". DMC floss on 48-count silk gauze.
For the "Boston Band" sampler, I eliminated the V in order to move the Z up with the rest of the alphabet, leaving room to add faux initials and date. DMC floss on 40-count silk gauze. (October 2019)
The "Heritage XIX" is an adaptation of a 1790 Delaware sampler. I made no changes to this charming sampler! DMC floss on 48-count silk gauze. (January 2021)
