Shirvan I carpet, from Frank Cooper's book "Oriental Carpets in Miniature: Charted Designs for Needlepoint or What You Will" (Interweave, c1995).
Started 5 February 2016, completed main stitching 22 June 2016, finished 28 June 2016. Worked on 22-count mono canvas with Paternayan Persian wool, with some minor rearrangements of colors and shapes from the chart; all colors as in the book except that I substituted 501 (the next-lightest shade) for 500 (navy blue) because it was what was available; finished size 7 1/2 x 12 in. (19 x 30 cm).
This carpet is based on a 19th-century original, as of 1995 in a private collection in Paris.
